I notice that there are some people who get confused over whether they should get Roland Quad Capture or Steinberg UR22. Honestly, these two audio interface devices stand in different price range, so it will be unsurprising if there are some divergence of features. But, being more expensive does not always mean that it has better value (I mean, just look at those junk foods…), so, it is worthwhile to compare these two products against each other. Here, Roland Quad Capture versus Steinberg UR22. (see also : Steinberg UR22 Vs Focusrite 2i2).
Steinberg UR22 is an excellent choice for mobile musicians who need an audio and MIDI interface. It has full metal chassis to guarantee its durability. It features the famous dspMixFx technology that provides DSP powered, latency-free monitoring with FX. Interestingly, Steinberg UR22 also already includes the Cubase AI 6 DAW for intuitive composing, recording, editing, and mixing. Neat. Even if you prefer another DAW, the device is fully compatible with all major audio software like ASIO, Core Audio, or WDM. Steinberg UR22 uses 24-bit/192-kHz converters, USB 2.0, and features two TRS inputs, six TRS outputs, and two Neutrik combo inputs, together with two D-Pre mic preamps.
Roland QuadCapture features a graphical control panel software to control the two VS Preamps alias digitally controlled mic preamps. It has a lot about connectivity with XLR/TRS combo ports, coaxial input and output, MIDI connectors, also USB 2.0. It claims to have ultra low noise for the user’s convenient usage. There is a one-click input adjustment called AUTO-SENS to automatically adjust and the input settings. Roland QuadCapture comes with the SONAR X1 LE, a powerful software for writing, recording, editing, and mixing your music.

Well, Roland Quad Capture has a little more edges to offer than Steinberg UR22. However, it is also significantly more pricey. I would declare the Steinberg UR22 as the winner of this product comparison because it gives a large amount of benefits with affordable price.
